2-Roll laboratory calender type «KAL»
The KAL 2-roll laboratory calender is used to treat the surfaces of material samples. The surfaces of the material samples are calendered in different ways under pressure and using heated rolls. The calendering of anodes and cathodes is a crucial rolling process in battery production, in which coated electrode foils are compacted to ensure uniform thickness, high porosity density, and better adhesion of the material. This step increases energy density, improves conductivity, and is essential for the longevity and performance of lithium-ion batteries.
